International Assistant Project Manager

We are seeking a highly organised, proactive, and globally minded International Growth & Operations Assistant Project Manager to support our expanding international footprint. This role sits at the heart of our global growth strategy, providing operational, analytical, and project management support across multiple jurisdictions including the US, Bahamas, ROI, and Australia.

This role is pivotal in enabling the company’s international growth. You will be the connective tissue between strategy and execution, ensuring plans are operationalised effectively and that leadership has the insights needed to make informed decisions. What will the role offer?

Working at Amey puts you at the centre of an inspiring expert team. You will have opportunities to work with our Consulting team assisting in the production and maintenance of technically sound project management deliverables for Amey Consulting commissions such as in the planning, monitoring and communication of processes and documentation that satisfy the overarching criteria of quality, cost and programme.

The standard hours of work are 40 hours per week. We offer a range of flexible working practices, including hybrid, part-time and flexible working patterns. What you will be doing:

  • Working in a team, assisting in the production and maintenance of technically sound project management solutions, complying with all relevant technical standards and client requirements.
  • General office duties associated with the smooth running of a consulting business.
  • Meeting budget targets and deadlines set by the manager, without responsibility for the financial performance of the project.

We want to hear from you if you have:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in an appropriate subject.
  • Associate membership of the Association for Project Management.
  • Association for Project Management Project Fundamentals Qualification (PFQ) or equivalent.

Skills

  • Understanding of project management theory and principles, with practical application.
  • Knowledge and understanding of project management and specification processes; taking ownership of deliverables under supervision.
  • Good competence with relevant project management software and analytical tools.
  • Awareness of commercial issues.
  • Good knowledge of suppliers and the services they provide.
  • Strong oral communication; able to present arguments and ideas.
  • Basic understanding of Health, Safety and Welfare, including specific regulations.
  • Ability to produce reports to a good standard.
  • Basic understanding of different interfaces on projects.
  • Supervisory and people management skills; moving towards being capable of supervising more junior staff.
