There are 2 x positions available

This role is Monday – Friday 39hours per week £14.20ph

To carry out the day to day activities associated with the running of Moy Park Navenby Mill, to ensure that it runs safely and efficiently meeting all required standards and targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on mill equipment and machinery.
  • Diagnose faults, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, and carry out necessary repairs.
  • Assist in planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules to prevent breakdowns and improve reliability.
  • Work with engineers and supervisors to install new equipment and upgrade existing systems.
  • Ensure all maintenance work is carried out safely, adhering to company policies and health & safety regulations.
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, faults, and repairs.
  • Monitor stock levels of spare parts and consumables, reporting any shortages.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
  • Follow company procedures for reporting hazards, near misses, and incidents.
  • To ensure all pallets are correctly labelled before being put into stock.
  • Keep accurate records of stock movements as required.
  • To rotate stock to ensure oldest stock is used up first.
  • Maintain regular communication with colleagues as required.
  • To report any health and safety issues to your immediate manager.
  • Any other duties that are required.
  • Provide cover for Operatives on shifts during absences.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a maintenance role, ideally within a mill or industrial setting.
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including shifts and occasional overtime.
  • Good Numeracy and Literacy Levels.
  • Full Clean Driving licence.
  • A relevant qualification in engineering, maintenance, or a related field is desirable.
  • Experience with welding, fabrication, or forklift operation would be an advantage.
