Technical Services Manager (Mechanical or Electrical) – Healthcare
Location: Ilford | Chadwell Heath | East London
We’re working with a well-established facilities management provider to recruit a Technical Services Manager for a busy healthcare site in East London. This is a hands‑on leadership role where you’ll be responsible for ensuring engineering services are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard in a critical environment.
You’ll take ownership of day‑to‑day technical operations, acting as the go‑to specialist for your discipline while supporting and developing the on‑site engineering team. The role requires a balance of technical expertise, people management, and operational oversight, with a strong focus on compliance and service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading technical service delivery across the site
- Acting as the subject matter expert for either Mechanical or Electrical services
- Managing engineers and specialist subcontractors
- Overseeing planned and reactive maintenance activities
- Ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and healthcare standards (HTM)
- Managing work in progress, reporting, and overall performance
- Driving continuous improvement across engineering operations
Qualifications
This opportunity would suit someone who has experience in a similar Technical Services or M&E Manager position within a facilities management or building services environment, ideally with exposure to healthcare or critical sites. Strong communication skills and the ability to lead from the front are essential.
