Quantity Surveyor

Full time, PermanentSalary: Competitive salary matched to experienceLocation: This role is based at our Head Office near Castlederg but travel requirements to sites within Ulster will be required.

THE ROLE

• Negotiating and appointing sub-contractors to project schemes.
• Managing sub-contractor package’s through from appointment to final account.
• Preparation of final accounts for submission to client representative.
• The submission of valuations and variations on schemes.
• Assist with the preparation of tenders.
• Identify cost risks and opportunities on projects.
• Building close working relationship with Contracts Manager’s, Site teams and client personnel to deliver quality projects.
• Site Visits: on site to view works completed, quality and management of costs.

THE PERSON

• Degree qualification in Quantity Surveying or construction related discipline
• Minimum 2 years experience in similar role
• Experience in construction contracts such as JCT/NEC
• Excellent communication skills and ability to negotiate
• The ability to manage a number of contracts concurrently with the ability to prioritise tasks.
• Full valid driving licence
• Experience of large-scale residential developments advantageous but not essential.
