Quantity Surveyor – Fit Out & Refurbishment Central London | Permanent | Main Contractor
Are you a commercially driven Quantity Surveyor looking to take ownership of fast‑paced, high‑quality fit‑out and refurbishment projects? Our client, a respected main contractor based in Central London, is expanding their commercial team and seeking a QS with strong sector experience and a passion for delivering exceptional spaces.
Responsibilities:
- Play a key role in the commercial management of projects from pre‑construction through to final account
- Preparing cost plans, estimates, and tender documentation
- Managing procurement and subcontractor packages
- Overseeing valuations, variations, and cost reporting
- Ensuring projects remain commercially viable and delivered within budget
- Working closely with project managers, site teams, and clients
- Administering contracts (typically JCT) and managing change control
- Supporting project delivery across multiple sectors with varying complexity
We’re looking for someone who brings:
- Experience working as a Quantity Surveyor on fit‑out and refurbishment projects (Cat A, Cat B, retail refresh, industrial upgrades, healthcare refurbishments)
- Strong commercial acumen and confidence managing costs on live projects
- Knowledge of JCT contracts and subcontractor management
- Excellent communication and stakeholder‑facing skills
- A proactive, solutions‑focused approach
