Do you have a strong interest in Autism and differential diagnosis? Are you enthusiastic about working with children, young people and families? Hertfordshire Community Trust (HCT) is looking for a dynamic and passionate individual to provide support for Children and Young People (CYP) across the age range who may be autistic.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the multi‑disciplinary team and other agencies to assess autism and contribute to the psychology provision within the autism assessment service.
• Conduct diagnostic assessments for neuro‑divergent children and young people.
• Maintain a high degree of professionalism in highly emotive and demanding settings.
• Provide supervision to an assistant psychologist and other members of the MDT.
• Participate in service development, including clinical audits, project work and service forums.

Qualifications and Experience

• Experience in undertaking autism assessments, including developmental and autism‑specific history taking.
• ADI‑2 trained and able to administer the assessment.
• Full valid driving licence with regular car use for business purposes.
• Resilience, flexibility and the ability to work both autonomously and within a team.

This is a permanent post based across Hertfordshire. Salary will be agreed to meet service needs and demand, with a possibility of some home working, to be discussed with the manager.
