Role Purpose

The key purpose of the role is to be a Travel Expert, handling a variety of business travel accounts. The role involves booking, amending, and cancelling all UK, European and worldwide business travel requirements, while offering a high level of service.

Operational Responsibilities

  • Process bookings, amendments and cancellations within SLA through multiple contact channels
  • Convert general enquiries into bookings using all available tools and technology
  • Obtain accurate customer brief using appropriate questioning techniques
  • Work within the client’s travel policy to find the most appropriate options
  • Provide the highest level of customer service to internal and external customers
  • Resolve customer and supplier queries, escalating when appropriate
  • Complete all mandatory training as required
  • Accurately process data to ensure compliance with GDPR and ISO standards
  • Keep up to date with travel trends and industry knowledge
  • Promote a professional image to all customers and suppliers
  • Be aware of team targets and overall performance against targets
  • Maximise supplier income by promoting and selling through agreed preferred partners

Experience and Qualifications

  • Must have been a resident in the UK for a minimum of 3 years due to security vetting
  • Experience in retail or business travel
  • Knowledge of the travel industry
  • Proven customer service experience
  • IT and computer literate with experience of email and web‑based programs and GDS skills (Galileo)
  • Ability to work accurately under pressure in a fast‑paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Understand clients’ needs and requirements
  • Logical thinking and strong analytical skills
  • Ability to work within a team environment to achieve objectives
