About the role
- Provide one-on-one or small group support for students with special educational needs (SEN)
- Assist with the development and delivery of individual learning plans and strategies
- Support students in both academic and social settings, promoting independence and confidence
- Help students with their personal care needs as required
- Foster an inclusive classroom environment by supporting diverse learning styles
- Collaborate with teachers and other staff to ensure the best outcomes for students
- Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to the teaching team
- Assist with classroom management and ensure a positive, respectful atmosphere
- Support the use of specialized equipment and resources to aid students’ learning
- Work closely with parents and outside agencies to ensure holistic support for students
