The Role
We are seeking a resilient and engaging English Teacher to deliver tailored lessons to pupils with SEMH needs. You will:
- Plan and deliver differentiated English lessons to meet a wide range of needs and abilities
- Support emotional regulation and behaviour using trauma‑informed and relational approaches
- Build strong, consistent relationships to re‑engage pupils with learning
- Work closely with support staff, SENCO, and external professionals
- Track progress, adapt strategies and celebrate individual success
The Person
- QTS and experience teaching English at secondary level
- Strong understanding of SEMH, trauma‑informed practice and behaviour support
- Confident managing behaviour with a calm, consistent, and relational approach
- Patient, resilient and committed to improving outcomes for vulnerable pupils
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
