Overview
SLR has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Civil Engineer to join its busy Civil & Structural Engineering team at Senior grade. The successful applicant will ideally be based in Stock on Trent and will support the civil & structural team as project manager and/or lead designer on projects across infrastructure, power, industry and the built environment.
Responsibilities
- Act as project manager and lead designer on civil and structural projects.
- Write proposals and manage client interfaces.
- Lead and mentor multidisciplinary teams.
- Support sector and client leads across the business.
- Collaborate closely with advisory, environmental management, land & water and specialist services groups.
Qualifications
- Solid track record managing civil engineering projects in the UK.
- Experience working independently with multidisciplinary teams in a consultancy or contracting environment.
- Knowledge of proposal and tender writing (advantage).
- Proficiency with drainage design software such as PD Causeway Flow.
- Experience with Civils 3D, PDS or Site 3D (desirable).
- Working knowledge of design codes and standards.
- Experience producing infrastructure design packages and drawings, particularly highway and/or drainage.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with sound commercial decision‑making.
- Valid UK driving licence (required for travel).
