Senior Scheduler – Tamworth (Permanent)

Equans is looking for a Senior Scheduler to join our team in Tamworth on a permanent basis.

This is a full‑time role with a competitive salary and a benefits package.

What you will deliver

  • Team Coordination: Supervise and provide guidance to planners, ensuring they prioritize tasks effectively and adhere to policies.
  • Workload Distribution: Oversee workload allocation across the planning team to ensure balance and efficiency.
  • Long‑Term Planning: Develop strategies for large‑scale or long‑term maintenance projects (e.g. cyclical maintenance, refurbishment programs).
  • Resource Optimisation: Ensure optimal use of operatives, contractors, and materials to meet both immediate and future demands.
  • Complex Scheduling tasks, such as those involving multiple trades, high volume repairs, or regulatory deadlines.
  • Monitor Team Performance: Track the performance of the planning team, ensuring KPIs such as first‑time fix rates, SLA adherence, and tenant satisfaction are met.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present performance reports to management highlighting trends, risks and areas for improvement.
  • Internal Coordination: Act as the liaison between the planning team, contract managers, and operatives to ensure seamless communication.
  • Tenant Escalations: Handle escalated tenant complaints, ensuring timely resolution and improved communication.
  • Resource and Cost Management: Monitor the efficiency of scheduling to minimise costs while maintaining service quality.
  • Data Analysis: Provide data‑driven insights to senior management to support decision‑making and strategy development.
  • Workforce Management: Oversee operative rotas and ensure sufficient staffing levels for routine, planned, and out‑of‑hours repairs.

Who are we looking for

  • Previous Senior Scheduler
  • Experience and proven skills in helpdesk call processes and processing
  • Experience and skills in planning, prioritisation and allocation of works to operatives
  • Ability to follow processes and guidelines and train direct reports in required processes
  • Strong abilities to prioritise and work well under challenging targets

Requirements

You must have evidence of the right to work in the UK. A relocation package is not offered for this role.
