Job Overview

Location: Nottingham (NG2) – Home Tuition

Pay: 25-30 per hour

Hours: 10 hours per week (Initial)

Responsibilities

• Mentor-style tutoring supporting a 13‑year‑old student with a passion for aerospace engineering, steam engines, and physics.
• Build genuine rapport through shared interests and deliver academic stretch in Maths, Science (Physics), and English.
• Adapt teaching to meet the student’s ASD, ADHD, and PDA (Pathological Demand Avoidance) profile.

Qualifications

• Strong background in Physics and Maths, ideally with an interest in engineering or aerospace.
• Experience supporting students with ASD/ADHD; understanding of flexibility required for a PDA profile.
• Strong rapport‑building skills and ability to lead with interests rather than demands.
• Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check is required.

Schedule & Flexibility

• 10 hours per week to start.
• Schedule open to discussion; suitable for tutors with flexible availability.
