Registered Home Manager – small family run residential care home for the elderly in Oldham.

Responsibilities

• Day to day running of the care home
• Supporting the Care Team in care matters
• Providing excellent resident care
• Proactively seeking new residents
• Managing operational and financial controls
• Managing staff
• Maintaining audits
• Meeting requirements of the organisation and regulating bodies

Qualifications

• NVQ4/5 qualification ideally
• Good general secondary education to GCSE or equivalent is desirable
• Strong, supportive and clear leadership skills, team working skills and staff management experience
• Sound management experience in a Care/Healthcare environment, ideally an elderly residential care home
• Knowledge of health, safety and welfare and drug administration protocols
• Previous experience working within a Care Home is essential
• Good understanding and experience of CQC and current regulatory requirements
• Experience working with those with dementia
• Excellent understanding of the Mental Capacity Act and Best Interest Decisions
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to complete detailed reports and implement detailed procedures
• Excellent organisational skills
• Must be flexible and able to prioritise work
