Recovery Driver – C1E / CE Licence Required

Salary: £34,586.37 per annum

Key responsibilities

• Ensure the safe and efficient collection and delivery of customer vehicles, maintaining high standards of care and professionalism.
• Contact each customer prior to arrival.
• Complete all Job Pack paperwork neatly and legibly, obtaining signatures where required.
• Complete Customer Vehicle Condition Reports and take supporting images before handover to Estimators.
• Follow all procedures outlined in the Drivers Procedure and Process Manuals.
• Comply with Drivers Tacho Break Regulation 2009 (if applicable).
• Ensure Policy Excess, VAT Bills and Private Quotes are paid before leaving site (escalating any issues to the Transport Manager).
• Check courtesy cars are safe and up to standard, reporting defects immediately.
• Handle customer complaints in line with company procedures.
• Undertake all driving and recovery tasks as directed by the Transport Manager.
• Plan day effectively and work efficiently with a customer‑first approach.
• Assist with vehicle movements in and out of the workshop.
• Wash customer or courtesy cars where necessary.
• Locate and move vehicles for salvage agents.

Skills and experience required

• Must be over 21 with a full UK driving licence.
• C1E / CE licence required (capable of driving up to 7.5 tonnes).
• Valid Driver Qualification Card and Digi Driver Card.
• Experience in vehicle recovery preferred.
• Physically capable of securing and moving vehicles and handling equipment.
• Team player with a flexible, proactive, and can‑do attitude.
• Able to work responsibly and take ownership of tasks.
