Job Description:

As a Manufacturing Key Operative — Lairage you will be responsible for unloading, moving and caring for livestock whilst ensuring the highest standards of animal welfare in an efficient and safe manner.

About you

You’ll be the kind of person who:

  • Leads high manufacturing standards and maintains high legal and ethical requirements
  • Has a flexible approach to teamwork and is able to adapt to achieve production targets on a daily basis
  • Is willing to work in an environment where you are required to clean animal faeces from pens to maintain hygiene standards
  • Is willing to typically work in varying temperatures in line with the external temperature fluctuations

The following experience is desirable, but not essential:

  • Previous experience working with and moving livestock in a fast‑paced environment
  • Hold a WATOK (Welfare of Animals at the Time of Killing) qualification or licence

Please note: We will only recruit individuals who are over the school leaver’s age. Some roles have an age restriction due to the nature of the role.
