Teaching Assistant Level B
We are seeking an enthusiastic, creative, resilient, and highly motivated Teaching Assistant, Level B to join our highly skilled team of teachers. We work with children to support them to access their learning and ensure they reach their full potential.
Part‑time: 32.5 hours per week, term‑time only.
Paid weeks per year: 47.36 (inclusive of holiday entitlement).
Start date: 1 September 2026.
Salary: £27,254 p.a. (pro rata: £21,803.20 for 32.5 hours).
About the role:
St. Mark’s is a small school with a friendly, family‑like atmosphere. Situated at the edge of Kemp Town close to the seaside, we have large grounds and a trauma‑informed, attachment‑aware approach. We have a high level of Pupil Premium, EAL and SEND – a setting where you can really make a difference.
The successful applicant will support high‑quality teaching and learning, working with children who have complex needs. They should promote the inclusion of all pupils, work independently and be a strong team player. They will provide adapted support to pupils during all parts of the lesson so that pupils can access the learning and make good progress. An interest in Early Years may be an advantage.
