Maintenance Engineer – Days

Overview

Greencore is a leading manufacturer of convenience food in the UK. Our purpose is to make everyday taste better. In Boston, we employ around 400 colleagues and produce ready-to-eat salads, prepared vegetables and snacks for major retailers. This permanent role offers 3 days on / 2 days off shifts (days).

What you’ll be doing

• Complete planned and preventative maintenance on plant and equipment to maximise equipment reliability and performance
• Ensure the DAF Plant is running efficiently to maximise overall plant efficiency
• Maintain plant equipment, boiler houses, utilities in correct working order
• Carry out fault finding and problem solving to identify root causes and implement fixes for plant or equipment issues
• Comply with Greencore health and safety standards, safe systems of work and standard operating procedures, and relevant legal and compliance controls
• Complete necessary documentation accurately and timely to ensure reporting and records are audit-ready
• Identify and recommend opportunities to improve plant equipment efficiency and effectiveness
• Support the site maintenance team to ensure operational efficiency

What we’re looking for

• Experience in a similar role or as an engineering apprentice
• Evidence of electrical and/or mechanical skills
• Experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience with problem solving and root cause identification, delivering sustainable solutions
• Ability to work with others as part of a diverse team
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Experience working with computers
