Year 5 Teacher Job Description

• Planning and delivering engaging lessons tailored to the individual needs of students
• Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active participation and creativity
• Conducting assessments, providing timely feedback, and tracking student progress
• Implementing effective behaviour‑management strategies
• Establishing strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to facilitate effective communication and collaboration

The Ideal Year 5 Teacher will:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Hold a recent and clear Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check
• Have experience teaching in KS2, ideally with Year 5
• Have a strong understanding of the UK National Curriculum
• Be able to inspire and motivate young learners
• Have excellent classroom management skills
• Be committed to inclusive education and supporting children of all abilities
