Facilities Assistant

Salary information: Band 4 point 4 £25,201

Start date: Flexible

Hours: 37 hours per week, 52 weeks a year

Mayfield School seeks to appoint a highly organised and reliable Facilities Assistant. This role includes porterage, maintenance, waste management, facilities tasks, and security services.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has a maintenance background including painting, lifting, and moving furniture
  • Has a supportive and one team work ethic
  • Is positive with a can-do attitude
  • Has a caring persona for those around them
  • Takes notice of details and is observant of the little things
  • Takes pride in their work
  • Able to work full time including school holidays
  • Able to work a shift pattern which includes early mornings, late nights, and some hours at the weekend on a rota basis

  • If you have been barred from working with Children and/or Adults at risk

The filtering rules were updated on 28 November 2020 as follows:

  • Warnings, reprimands, and youth cautions will no longer be automatically disclosed on a DBS certificate
  • The multiple conviction rule has been removed, meaning that if an individual has more than one conviction, each conviction will be considered against the remaining rules individually, rather than all being automatically disclosed
