A dynamic group of companies is seeking an HR Assistant to provide vital support to our established Human Resources team. CA Drillers Ltd, CA Fire Protection Ltd, and CA Telecom UK Ltd collectively employ over 120 staff and have exciting plans for future growth. We are therefore looking for the right candidate to join our HR team and play a key role in supporting our people as we expand.
Based at our head office in Whitstable, the HR Assistant will work closely with the Group HR Manager, with full training and ongoing support provided. We are seeking an enthusiastic and confident individual looking for a long-term career opportunity, with the potential for increased hours and progression over time.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Administrative Support
- Maintain and update employee records in HR databases and filing systems.
- Prepare HR documents, such as employment contracts, onboarding materials, and policies/ procedures.
- Assist in scheduling interviews, meetings, and HR-related events.
- Manage correspondence related to HR, such as emails, memos, and notices.
Recruitment & Onboarding
- Coordinate job posts and applications across numerous platforms.
- Screen and shortlist CVs and schedule interviews with candidates.
- Support new employee onboarding; including paperwork, orientation, and training logistics.
- Ensure proper background checks and reference verification are completed.
Employee Relations & Communication
- Respond to miscellaneous employee enquiries.
- Assist in organising employee engagement initiatives and company events.
- Help maintain a positive work environment by supporting HR initiatives and programs.
HR Operations & Compliance
- Ensure that HR processes comply with labour laws and company policies.
- Support performance appraisal and evaluation processes.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee information.
Requirements:
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Confident in engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficient in IT and comfortable with various software tools.
- High level of integrity and discretion when handling confidential information.
- Flexible and suitable for part-time work, ideal for those seeking work-life balance.
- Looking for a long-term, stable role with no immediate pressure for rapid progression or increased hours.
- Previous HR experience is a plus, but not required.
