Salary: Grade 9, Point 19-25: £28,199 to £31,983 per annum pro rated (pay award pending), based on full time hours. Actual salary will be based on working hours and scale point.

Contract: Permanent, Part-Time or Full-Time hours considered, 39 weeks a year (term time plus inset days).

We are seeking a resilient and proactive Behaviour Support – Senior Learning Support Mentor to join our school and play a key role in maintaining high standards of behaviour and supporting a positive climate for learning across our school. About The Role

You will oversee and support the day‑to‑day running of our inclusion room provision — a well‑managed, highly structured and relational‑based environment that forms an important part of our disruption‑free learning strategy. Working closely with pastoral teams, teaching staff and senior leaders, you will supervise students removed from lessons, ensuring they remain focused, productive and supported throughout the school day. You will also help students regulate their behaviour, reflect on their actions and continue making academic progress.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support students removed from lessons through the school’s centralised behaviour system
  • Maintain a calm, purposeful and disciplined learning environment
  • Build positive and productive relationships with students
  • Support students with learning tasks and monitor completion of work
  • Liaise with teaching staff to ensure appropriate work is provided and returned
  • Maintain accurate records, including attendance and safeguarding concerns
  • Communicate with parents/carers where required
  • Support the administration of the school’s behaviour systems
  • Assist with after‑school detentions when required
  • Promote inclusion, equality, safeguarding and the school’s values at all times
