About the Role
We are looking for a Multi‑Skilled Engineer to join our Engineering team at the Nicholas & Harris site of Finsbury Food Group. The role is vital to ensuring reliability, performance and continuous improvement of our manufacturing operations, while supporting the delivery of safe, high‑quality products.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a wide range of production equipment and site services, ensuring safe, efficient and reliable bakery operation.
- Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM), respond to breakdowns, complete corrective maintenance activities and support installation and improvement projects across the site.
- Diagnose faults, identify root causes and implement effective solutions to minimise disruption to production.
- Record maintenance activities accurately through our Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS), capturing work orders, materials and labour.
- Support the development of maintenance standards, equipment performance monitoring and engineering best practice across the site.
- Work closely with Operations and Technical teams to drive a proactive maintenance culture and support the site’s growth plans.

Qualifications and Skills
- Qualified Multi‑Skilled Engineer with recognised engineering qualifications.
- Experience within a manufacturing environment (food manufacturing desirable).
- Strong fault‑finding and diagnostic skills across electrical and mechanical systems.
- Excellent communication and teamworking skills.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure.
- Self‑motivated with a proactive approach to maintenance and continuous improvement.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards.
- IT literate with experience using maintenance management systems.
- IPAF qualification and/or 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification desirable.
