Lunchtime Support Assistant – SEND School, Corby
We are recruiting caring, patient and enthusiastic Lunchtime Support Assistants for a specialist SEND school in Corby. This role supports children and young people across an all-through school, working primarily with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and pupils with a range of additional needs, including physical disabilities.
As a Lunchtime Support Assistant you will be assigned to a specific class and will support pupils throughout the entire lunchtime period: accompanying students from the classroom to the dining hall, supporting them during mealtimes, encouraging positive social interactions, and supervising activities during playground and outdoor time before safely returning them to class.
Key Responsibilities
- Support pupils throughout the lunchtime routine
- Assist students in the dining hall during meals
- Encourage social interaction, communication and independence
- Supervise pupils during outdoor play and recreational activities
- Support pupils with additional physical and communication needs
- Follow safeguarding, behaviour and health and safety procedures at all times
- Provide personal care support when required

Working Hours
Monday to Friday: 11:30am – 1:30pm (Term Time Only)
