Company & Project: A highly successful Cambridgeshire based Main Contractor with a profitable track record and busy pipeline of work is looking to expand their Bid Management team with a talented professional to work on new tenders in addition to managing projects through the PCSA stage to full contract award.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Take responsibility for managing a work winning team, handling a variety of tenders across Education, Healthcare, Defence and Life Science sectors.
- Coordinate and collaborate with all technical disciplines to ensure a successful bid in addition to managing the bid through the PCSA process.
- Bring together internal teams and external partners to execute and develop bid strategies that win work by creating compelling responses.
- Ensure all quality, technical and commercial requirements are met on time by managing the entire bid process from launch to submission.
- Work closely with specialists to mitigate challenges by engaging with client stakeholders and tracking risks.
- Contribute to continuous improvement across the team by sharing best practice and mentoring and guiding other bid managers.
Qualifications & Skills
- 10 years or more of UK experience working for a Main Contractor with experience in Bid Management or Pre‑Construction, or a construction profession with exposure to Pre‑Construction stages such as Contracts Manager, Estimator, Planner, Design Manager, Project Manager or Commercial.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to working.
- Previous involvement in PCSA or 2‑stage procurement is essential for this position.
- Excellent knowledge of construction management process and techniques.
- Previous roles may include Senior Bid Manager, Bid Coordinator, Proposals Manager, Bid Manager, Senior Project Manager, Pre‑Construction Project Manager, Pre‑Construction Manager, Framework Manager, Contracts Manager or Senior Project Manager.
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Architecture or a comparable qualification.
Salary
c£80,000–£100,000 plus travel allowance, healthcare, pension and a market‑leading employee‑focused benefit scheme.
