Manager, CIB Sustainable Finance and Transition

Responsibilities

• Support Portfolio Steering capability deployment to deliver against net‑zero commitments (incl FE/Coal/NZ50).
• Support portfolio management and transaction decisioning processes, maximizing revenue and returns within climate‑related performance and risk constraints.
• Support the commercialization of the Sustainable Finance & Transition strategy by identifying and prioritising commercial opportunities (both NTB and ETB).
• Contribute to building trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders by providing sustainability‑related insights and recommendations.
• Ensure timely and accurate delivery towards initiatives underway.

Qualifications

• Understanding of the Group and CIB business.
• Strong commercial acumen and knowledge of banking products and services.
• Knowledge and experience of Sustainability or Sustainable Finance, with a broad understanding of HSBC Group net‑zero commitments.
• Passion for sustainability, innovation, and driving positive environmental and social impact.
• Strong analytical skillset, able to distil large complex data sets into meaningful insights.
• Demonstrates client focus, with experience delivering propositions, products, projects, and outcomes.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with proven ability to communicate effectively.
• Comfortable managing a range of initiatives and objectives, interacting with multiple teams and stakeholders across different levels, cultures, and operating models.
• Comfortable navigating ambiguity, adapting to changing priorities, working in a dynamic environment, and getting things done.
