We are seeking a dedicated, dynamic and adaptable Food Technology Teacher to join our specialist education team, delivering high-quality teaching and learning to children and young people with a range of SEND needs, including experiences of trauma and adversity.

Start Date
- Official start date: 1st September 2026
- The successful candidate will be expected to commence from 1st July 2026 to complete a handover with the current postholder.
About the Role
The successful candidate will:
- Deliver high-quality, personalised Food Technology teaching to support pupils in achieving progress from their individual starting points
- Plan, assess and report on pupil progress within a collaborative and supportive team
- Create engaging, inclusive learning experiences tailored to pupils with SEND
- Promote positive behaviour, wellbeing and personal development through trauma-informed practice
- Take an active role in safeguarding and pastoral support
- Act as a Form Tutor, building positive relationships with pupils and families

What We’re Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
- Experience or strong interest in SEND and trauma-informed practice
- Passion for inclusive education and raising achievement for all learners
- Strong classroom practice and commitment to continuous professional development
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- High expectations and a commitment to helping every pupil succeed
