About the role
This role supports the effective operation of the Sport Building alongside the delivery of healthy lifestyle and physical activity programmes. It aims to deliver an exceptional customer experience while driving engagement and participation.
Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of healthy lifestyle and physical activity programmes, contributing to the sport and wellbeing strategy.
- Proactively engage with the university community, particularly those not yet connected to our services or partner offers, new starters, and individuals from underrepresented groups, ensuring inclusive access and meaningful participation opportunities.
- Contribute to the delivery of Student Living & Physical Activity services, enhancing the student experience beyond the curriculum.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, activity providers, and external partners to effectively signpost students, staff, and the wider community to opportunities to be active, alongside resources that support engagement; underpin the university’s Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) ambitions and contribute to key strategic priorities, including the advancement of physical wellbeing and the delivery of the wider Health & Wellbeing Strategy.
- Support strong partnership working across the university, including collaboration with the Students’ Union (JMSU) to strengthen connectivity between physical activity and sports services.
- Contribute to supporting performance sport pathways, working alongside academic colleagues and the High‑Performance Unit (HPU) to provide a joined‑up experience for student athletes.
