Salary: £30,000 per annum

Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Monday‑Friday, 8:00am‑4:00pm or 9:00am‑5:00pm)

Start Date: 1 September 2026

Duration: 14 months

About the Opportunity

We are offering an exciting Graduate Production Engineer Apprenticeship, designed to provide structured development, real responsibility and hands‑on exposure across the full manufacturing process. From raw material preparation through the complete process you will build strong foundations in production engineering, quality, and continuous improvement.

This is a fantastic opportunity to kick‑start your engineering career in a dynamic manufacturing environment while working towards a recognised Level 4 Improvement Practitioner qualification.

The Role

As a Graduate Production Engineer Apprentice, you will work closely with production, engineering and maintenance teams to support safe, efficient and high‑quality manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting day‑to‑day manufacturing activities and analysing production performance
  • Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, throughput and reliability
  • Assisting with trials, process improvements, and new product introductions
  • Supporting the development and maintenance of standard operating procedures
  • Participating in quality checks and investigations into non‑conformance
  • Contributing to continuous improvement projects using manufacturing principles
  • Collecting, reporting and analysing performance data
  • Promoting a strong safety‑first culture and ensuring compliance with HSE standards

Training & Development

You will complete a Level 4 Improvement Practitioner Apprenticeship equivalent to a Higher National Certificate (HNC). At least 20 % of your working time will be dedicated to training and development. You’ll gain skills in project management, lean tools, data analysis, root cause analysis and change management. Work alongside experienced professionals across production, engineering, quality and site management teams.

What We’re Looking For

Essential

  • Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing or Electrical)

Desirable

  • Degree in Process, Chemical or Related Engineering

Skills & Attributes

  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving ability
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Logical thinker with a proactive, hands‑on approach
  • Effective communicator and team player

Additional Requirements

  • Full UK Driving Licence
