Job Title: Delivery Governance Lead

We are looking for a Delivery Governance Lead to support the delivery of Strategic, Regulatory and Audit delivery in the Chief Data Office (CDO). The role supports the Head of CDO Delivery Governance & Data Management Capability in maintaining portfolio governance integrity, strengthening executive visibility of delivery performance, and ensuring the portfolio operates with the level of control maturity required within a regulated financial services environment.
This role ensures that all commitments are delivered effectively across CDO, with accurate data, strong governance controls, and high‑quality reporting to senior stakeholders, including the EDM Programme and Chief Data Officer. Acting as a central coordination point across programmes and stakeholders, the role enables timely escalation of risks and issues, strengthens portfolio reporting quality, and supports senior decision‑making through clear and consistent governance processes.

Your key responsibilities
- Leading end‑to‑end portfolio governance across strategic data and regulatory initiatives, acting as delegate to the Head of CDO Delivery Governance & Data Management Capability and providing leadership continuity across the portfolio.
- Producing high‑quality executive reporting, governance materials, dashboards, minutes, and portfolio insights, while maintaining strong data integrity across Clarity and associated reporting tools to support accurate and reliable decision‑making.
- Being the central point of integration across programmes, identifying cross‑portfolio risks, dependencies, and delivery themes.
- Driving governance discipline across delivery teams by providing constructive challenge on RAID management, change control, and reporting quality.
- Ensuring regulatory commitments, milestones, and deliverables are tracked through effective governance cadences, escalation pathways and audit‑ready oversight.
- Identifying and delivering opportunities to improve automation, transparency, and operational efficiency across portfolio governance and reporting processes.
Your skills and experience
- Experience operating in PMO, portfolio governance, or programme support roles within a complex or regulated environment.
- Strong understanding of governance processes, with the ability to facilitate end‑to‑end governance processes, such as understanding the requirements of the Forums you support, preparing the agenda according to priority items, developing meeting materials, taking minutes, tracking actions, ensuring RAID escalation and managing change. Additionally, you look for opportunities to improve processes.
- Ability to work independently, prioritise effectively, and manage competing portfolio demands with a high degree of independent judgement ensuring both you and your stakeholders are prepared for upcoming governance requirements. You work with a sense of urgency, but can be flexible when required.
- Strong analytical capability with experience producing executive‑level reporting and portfolio insights with excellent attention to detail. Familiarity with enterprise portfolio management tooling (e.g., Clarity, dbRIB, Tableau).
- Polished written and verbal communication skills, proficient in all Microsoft Office Applications with excellent PowerPoint skills for producing high quality meeting materials and senior management reports.
- Experience of data‑related projects is advantageous.
