Empty Homes Team
We’re responsible for making sure the properties are re‑let in a timely manner, working with our in‑house Trades and closely with sub‑contractors to return Empty Homes to new customers with all maintenance work and repairs carried out safely and to the highest standard. We also work alongside housing and lettings teams and new residents to ensure everything runs smoothly, turning an empty home into a warm, welcoming home.
Your new role
Are you pro‑active, highly motivated, professional and friendly? We’re looking for two Multi Skilled Operatives to join our Empty Homes team. You will complete a wide variety of trades tasks to a high standard, emphasizing efficient repairs for Abri customers. Work will be across Ascot, Windsor, Reading, Slough, and surrounding areas.
As a team player, you will carry out work and installations to Abri’s properties efficiently and effectively, ensuring all works comply with good building maintenance practice.
You will be a good communicator, have an achievement‑based approach, and be motivated. A City & Guilds or NVQ qualification related to the trade skills and previous experience is required.
Our customers are at the heart of everything we do, so excellent customer‑service skills are essential. We aim to go above and beyond and amaze our customers with the services we provide.
We will provide a uniform, a van with fuel card, van vault, racking, inverter, company tablet & mobile, and the PPE you need. You must supply your own hand tools and power tools. You will be required to cover out‑of‑hours callouts on a rota basis, so a clean driving licence is a must.
In this role, you’ll be an ambassador for the organisation, using your ‘can‑do’ attitude to provide a high‑quality, ‘right first time’ service to our customers while being the friendly face of Abri.
