You’ll work in our wonderful West Village building, located in Leeds City Centre, Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, 07:00-16:00. Please note that this is a temporary position for maternity cover and is a 12 month fixed‑term contract.

Job purpose

The Host role is a pivotal position as the face of Bruntwood. You will be the first point of contact and ultimately you will be working with our clients/tenants on a regular basis. So it’s important you are approachable and ultimately love speaking to people and building relationships. That’s why we love applicants from hospitality/retail/cabin crew backgrounds where you will be a natural at this.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver a positive customer experience within the building
  • Build lasting, long‑term, professional relationships with customers
  • Be the first point of contact for all customers and visitors in the building
  • Support and facilitate events and meetings within the building
  • Facilitate new customer viewings to support the sales process
  • Host the meeting rooms, co‑working, lounge and other communal amenities, maintaining high standards of presentation and food and beverage service where applicable
  • Manage own workload to flex between essential desk‑based tasks and building customer relationships
  • Collate all customer intelligence and update systems accordingly to support sales and retention
  • Work as part of a wider team, engage with customers, colleagues, management and other departments within Bruntwood
  • Act as a role model to promote wellbeing in the workplace
  • Focus on continuous improvement, ensuring we add value, save time and make things simple for the customer
  • Be basically brilliant – applying your energy, drive and knowledge to inspire colleagues to do their best, working together with a simple, straightforward approach to deliver the right service every time

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Have a can‑do attitude and be able to step up to the challenges of working in a fast‑paced, dynamic and developing organisation
  • Curious, detail‑oriented and motivated – go above and beyond for customers; a positive attitude is key
  • Admin experience is a must, as you will be managing the enquiries mailbox daily
  • Excellent communicator, bringing your personality to work and interacting with people on a human level
  • Skills and experience in hospitality, retail or other service sectors
  • Maintain high levels of energy and positivity throughout the day
