Mechanical Labourer – Fire Mains North East England- Sunderland Temporary Contract (Immediate Start – End of August)
We are currently recruiting Mechanical Labourers / Installation Operatives to support the installation of underground fire mains on a major construction project in the North East.
This is a great opportunity for anyone with a background in construction, civils, groundworks, or mechanical labouring looking for work through to the end of August.
Key duties include:
- Assisting with underground fire mains installation
- Supporting trenching and backfilling activities
- Trench dewatering and site preparation
- Moving and positioning pipework and materials
- Assisting installation teams on site
- Maintaining high health & safety standards
Requirements:
- Previous experience in construction, civils, groundworks, or mechanical labouring
- Valid CSCS card
- Comfortable working outdoors and carrying out manual tasks
- Reliable with a strong work ethic
Experience with fire mains, water mains, sprinkler systems, or underground services is advantageous but not essential.
Hours: 7:00 am – 5:00 pm- early finish on Friday. 50 hours a week
The contract runs through to the end of August, offering consistent work on a high-profile project.
