Overview

Working in our Children’s Homes means being part of a young person’s daily life. You will support young people with social, emotional and mental health needs, helping them achieve positive outcomes and celebrate the small victories that build confidence and resilience.

Responsibilities

You’ll take care of our young people day to day, ensuring things run smoothly and creating lasting memories. Responsibilities include:

  • Preparing for school and ensuring young people are ready for the day.
  • Assisting with homework and completing necessary paperwork.
  • Planning and facilitating engaging activities for evenings and weekends (games, sports, film days, etc.).
  • Providing a supportive environment that promotes the well‑being and development of each resident.

Qualifications

  • A ‘can‑do’ attitude – a team player who rolls up their sleeves to help others.
  • Honesty and empathy – genuine care for young people and colleagues.
  • Resilience – the ability to manage challenging situations with composure.
  • A full UK driving licence held for at least 12 months.
  • Willingly pursue a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent – we will support you financially and academically.

  • Base salary of £29,034 – £35,400.
    • Bonus: up to 4 sleep‑ins per month at £80 each (≈£3,840 per year).
