Lead Software Engineer

Location: Central London, Hybrid working, 2 days a week onsite

Oliver Bernard have partnered with a fast-growing, award-winning fintech company on the lookout for a Lead Software Engineer to lead one of their backend teams. You’ll help design and build scalable, high-performance systems that power a platform used by millions of users.

What You’ll Do:

• Build and maintain resilient backend systems using C# and .NET.
• Work across the full development lifecycle – from planning and coding to deployment and support.
• Build, manage and mentor a team of software engineers
• Collaborate with Product, QA, UX, and other Dev teams in an Agile environment.
• Define roadmaps and strategy
• Lead on architectural decisions

About You:

• Strong commercial experience in backend development with C#/.NET.
• Strong experience working in the cloud (Azure is preferable, but happy to consider AWS)
• Solid understanding of REST APIs, relational databases, and scalable architecture.
• Experience building high performing teams
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a collaborative, proactive mindset.
• Experience in fast-paced or regulated environments is a plus.
