System Engineer

Responsible for the Engineering Life Cycle and delivery of the V-Model for Air and Missile Defense Systems.

• Represents the project engineering interest for all technical aspects related to system design.
• Overarching responsibility for the design and quality of the system level specifications, architecture, and detailed designs of the sub-system/system.
• Responsible for overall system architecture and the corresponding assignation of system functions to sub-functions or sub-systems.
• Identifies the dependencies between system activities and within different technical disciplines.
• Supports technical discussions with the customer in coordination with Chief Engineer.
• Communicates and supports certification milestones in front of the certification authorities in coordination with Chief Engineer.
• Actively contributes to the complete project/ program life cycle as an integral project team member, from top level specification activities down to production transition support.
• Analyses customer specifications and defines internal requirements / design items in terms of functionality, safety, performance, verification, industrialization, production, time frames, and cost.
• Produces, validates, and communicates all the data, evidence, analyses, assessments, and documentation required by the project in accordance with the company’s development process.
• Conducts all the activities defined within the company’s integral system process required by the product development life cycle (validation, configuration management, checklists, problem reports, etc.).
• Supports the integration, validation, verification, and qualification activities as technical authority. · Defines and estimates system engineering tasks.
• Duly reports progress, issues, risks and opportunities on designated projects and tasks.
• Contributes to project by shaping the System Engineering effort areas of proposals and bids.
• Supports project execution in other fields of expertise (verification, SW development, embedded video) upon request and on a case-by-case basis.

Qualifications:

• Experience within development cycle of program/projects and certification aspects.
• Overall knowledge on system architectures and products
• Electrical &/or electronic degree or equivalent is desirable.
