Principal Data Platform Engineer — Hybrid, AWS & Data Lakes

The BBC is seeking a Principal Software Engineer for hybrid positions across London, Salford and Glasgow. You will lead the evolution of data lake and data warehouse platforms, enabling scalable, cost-efficient data services and robust analytics capabilities.

You will define long-term technical vision, drive IaC (AWS CDK/CloudFormation) and CI/CD (GitHub Actions, Jenkins), and mentor a high-performing team while upholding security and reliability across the stack.
