Are you passionate about using analysis to shape policy and drive real-world impact? The Royal Academy of Engineering is seeking a talented Analyst to join our Policy and International Partnerships directorate. This is your opportunity to play a central role in strengthening the evidence base that underpins the Academy’s policy positions and thought leadership. This is a role for someone who thrives on working across multiple topics and approaches, enjoys collaboration, and is motivated by using evidence and insight to make an impact on the big engineering and innovation issues facing the UK. You’ll work across topics such as emerging technologies, engineering skills, infrastructure, sustainability, and innovation ecosystems, often switching between quantitative analysis, qualitative research, horizon scanning, and rapid evidence gathering. Your work spans such a broad set of themes, demanding strong analytical judgement, flexibility, and an ability to quickly build contextual understanding in new areas.
You’ll also have room for creativity, from shaping research questions and designing analytical approaches to experimenting with new ways of communicating insights in compelling and accessible formats. Working closely with colleagues across the Academy and external experts, you’ll help ensure our policy advice is robust, well‑evidenced, and able to influence decision‑making at the highest levels.
