Project Overview & Role Purpose
The team are hiring a Principal (or Staff) Software Engineer to drive and support the delivery of a new credit card product. Long term, the goal is to build all of the functionality in‑house. For this reason, they need someone with knowledge of the various areas that make up a credit card product and how to glue it all together e.g. payments architecture and authorisation workflows, interest calculations, rewards etc.
Requirements
- Experienced hands‑on software engineer proficient in an object‑oriented programming language, ideally something like Python or Java.
- Experience with knowledge in areas (but not all) of payment infrastructure, financial ledgers, DLT, Credit Cards.
- Ability to mentor, and grow a small group of talented engineers, and improve engineering standards across the wider organisation.
- Experience designing and building highly available, low‑latency payments/transactional systems.
