We have partnered with a leading UK renewable energy contractor specialising in the design, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of low-carbon energy solutions. The company delivers a wide range of renewable technologies, including solar PV, battery energy storage systems (BESS), EV charging infrastructure, heat pumps, and energy efficiency solutions for residential, commercial, and public sector clients.

Overview:

We are seeking an ambitious and commercially minded Branch Manager to lead our growing renewable energy operations. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced business at the forefront of the energy transition, where you’ll play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence, developing high-performing teams, and delivering outstanding customer experiences.

As Branch Manager, you will take ownership of the day-to-day running of the business, overseeing sales, installations, customer delivery, financial performance, and team leadership. This role offers the perfect blend of strategic influence and hands-on operational management, making it ideal for a proven leader who thrives in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee daily operations across sales, installation, and administrative teams.
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on time, and within budget.
  • Manage scheduling, logistics, and resource planning to maximise productivity and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain high standards of quality, compliance, and operational performance.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop teams including technicians, office personnel, and subcontractors.
  • Conduct performance reviews, coaching sessions, and regular team meetings to drive engagement and accountability.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and training initiatives to build a strong and capable workforce.
  • Monitor operational budgets, cash flow, and financial performance.
  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable while maintaining strong cost controls and profitability.
  • Act as the senior point of contact for complex customer matters, ensuring exceptional service delivery.
  • Collaborate closely with commercial teams to support business growth and project success.
  • Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes, and operational efficiency.
  • Contribute to strategic planning, forecasting, and business growth initiatives.

Key Requirements:

  • Exceptional Organisational & Planning Ability – Proven experience managing multiple projects, priorities, and stakeholders while maintaining operational efficiency and delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Relevant Industry Experience – Previous experience within the renewable energy, solar, heating, construction, or field service sectors, with a strong understanding of operational delivery and customer-focused service environments.
  • Full UK Driving Licence – Willingness and ability to travel to sites, oversee operations, and support regional business activities as required.
  • Strong Technical & Systems Proficiency – Confident using project management software, CRM platforms, and cloud-based business systems to drive efficiency, reporting, and operational performance.
  • Commercial & Strategic Mindset – A proactive and forward-thinking leader with the ability to identify opportunities for improvement, implement change, and contribute to the long-term growth and success of the business.
  • People Leadership Experience – Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performing teams, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Problem-Solving & Decision-Making Skills – Able to assess operational challenges, make informed decisions, and implement practical solutions that support business objectives and customer satisfaction.
