Yard Operative/Driver

Driver Hire is looking for a Yard Operative/Driver to join one of our very well-established clients based in the Horsham area. It is a temp to perm full-time opportunity for the right candidate. You will be responsible for supporting the safe, efficient, and organised operation of the depot and vehicle fleetAbout the role Monday to Friday – shifts are flexible – starting between 7:00 to 8:00 am – 7.4 hours dailyEnsuring all equipment and materials are stored correctly and safelyManaging the organised and safe parking of vehicles upon their return to the depotTransporting parts, tools, and vehicles for MOTs and other inspections, contributing to the maintenance and repair of the fleetMoving a wide range of vehicles within the depot as needed to ensure smooth day-to-day operationsAssisting with vehicle reversing and parking when requiredSupporting the transportation of crew members to various locations to help maintain an efficient service Qualifications/Experience A minimum of one year’s experience in a similar role is requiredYou must hold a CatB driving license, however a 7.5T Licence is preferrableBe able to operate the vehicle responsibly and safely, ensuring loads are safe and secure.No more than 6 points, with no major endorsements/convictions.
