Class 2 HGV Driver/Line Marking Operative required for a specialist line marking and surface treatment company. This is a hands-on role that combines HGV driving with practical site work as part of an experienced operational team.This is not a driving-only position. Alongside driving duties, you will be actively involved in line marking and surface treatment projects, working outdoors on sites across the region.This opportunity offers long-term career prospects with a temporary-to-permanent position available for the right candidate.LocationDevonThis is a field-based role working on sites across the South West. Regular travel is required, and occasional nights away from home will be necessary.Salary£15.75 per hourNight shifts paid at time and a quarterWeekend work paid at time and a half10% uplift on all hours worked whilst staying away from homeAway from home allowance paidMinimum 30 hours per week guaranteedKey Responsibilities• Drive Class 2 HGV vehicles to and from work sites• Support line marking and surface treatment operations• Carry out physical and manual duties on live sites• Work safely as part of a crew in line with site procedures• Assist with loading, unloading and equipment preparation• Work a mixture of day shifts and night shifts• Stay away from home when required for operational projects• Drive other company vehicles where licence entitlement allowsQualificationsEssential• Valid Class 2 Category C driving licence• Valid Driver CPC qualification• Digital Tachograph card• Valid CSCS card• Good level of physical fitness• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions• Flexible approach to working hours and locations• Ability to pass random drug and alcohol testingDesirable• Previous experience within highways, construction, line marking, road maintenance or surface treatment industriesBenefits• £15.75 per hour basic pay• Enhanced rates for nights and weekends• Additional 10% payment when working away from home• Away-from-home allowances• Minimum 30 hour weekly pay guarantee during weather-related downtime• Temporary to permanent opportunity• Overtime opportunities available• Long-term career prospects within a specialist industryHow to Apply…
