Overview

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for developing sales across the UK contract market, with a particular focus on hotels, hospitality, accommodation-led projects and framework-driven sales channels.

The successful candidate will understand how the contract market works, including longer sales cycles, framework agreements, tenders, project pipelines, specification, procurement routes and multi-stakeholder decision-making.

The strongest candidates will bring a proven track record in contract sales, ideally selling beds, bedroom furniture or furniture-led solutions into hotels, hospitality or accommodation projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver the UK sales strategy, with a focus on the contract, hotels and hospitality markets.
  • Identify and secure new business through framework agreements, contract customers, procurement channels and project-led sales routes.
  • Manage and develop key accounts to their full potential, visiting them on a regular basis.
  • Build relationships with hotel groups, hospitality operators, procurement teams, contractors, designers, specifiers and framework buyers.
  • Manage opportunities involving tenders, specifications, pricing agreements and long-term supply arrangements.
  • Identify additional opportunities for UK sales growth.
  • Provide market research and analysis to support decisions on product development and pricing.
  • Work closely with the commercial, customer service and marketing teams to support the UK sales strategy.
  • Regularly visit customers, exhibitions, trade shows and networking events.
  • Support the future development of the wider commercial team.

Requirements

  • Demonstrable success in a similar senior sales, business development or national account role within the contract market.
  • Strong understanding of framework agreements, contract sales cycles, tender processes and project-led selling.
  • Ideally experience selling beds, bedroom furniture or furniture-led solutions into hotels, hospitality or accommodation-led projects.
  • Candidates from other relevant project-led contract sectors will also be considered.
  • Highly organised and capable of managing several conflicting priorities.
  • Commercially astute, with the ability to manage pricing, margin, account development and long-term opportunities.
  • Capability to motivate, manage, support and build a sales team.
  • Enthusiastic, confident and self-motivated, with the ability to quickly contribute to the company’s culture and way of working.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability and willingness to travel throughout the UK and Ireland on a frequent basis.

A stunning opportunity for a career-minded individual to take responsibility for commercial sales activity across the UK contract market and help build a high-performing team.
