Position: Employee Relations Manager (Business Transformation & Change)

Location: London based

Duration: 6 months (extension possible)

Start Date: Immediate

Remuneration: Competitive (Discussed upon registration / NDA signature)

Job spec/briefing: We are seeking qualified employee relations manager talent with demonstrated experience in Group & Individual Consultation Management, TUPE knowledge and strong employment law knowledge to support on a transformation project.

Business Transformation/Change, Group Consultation, Strong Employee Relations – ideally from a Retail or hospitality background ideally if not then a unionised/manufacturing experience.

Key accountabilities:

  • Partner with Senior ER Manager and HRBP to deliver significant business change projects across applicable business areas.
  • Provide ER support/Guidance to consultation managers
  • Management of Group Consultation programmes
  • Delivery of individual and group consultations where appropriate/applicable
  • ER advisory and business partnering service provision across generalist employment law knowledge
  • Management and support on life cycle driven employee relations issues associated with business transformation projects
  • Delivery of training on people and ER management topics across business under direction of Senior ER Manager
  • Maintain strong standards of case governance, ensuring accurate records, timely updates and audit-ready documentation
  • Use HR systems, Microsoft Office and other technology, including AI tools where appropriate, to improve efficiency and quality while maintaining confidentiality, accuracy and sound judgement.

Candidate Specification:

  • CIPD Level 7 qualified or equivalent level of experience
  • Demonstrated hands-on Employee Relations experience with a strong track record of managing complex casework across a broad range of ER matters.
  • Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to review information from multiple sources, prioritise effectively and make sound recommendations.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex ER issues clearly and confidently to a range of stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated transformation/restructuring experience
  • Up to date employment law knowledge across UK and Republic of Ireland
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, HR/case management systems and the responsible use of technology, including AI tools.
