Cyber Security Consultant
We are undergoing an exciting time in our evolution and now seek to add a highly motivated, enthusiastic Cyber Security Consultant to our Cyber security division.
As a Cyber Security Consultant, you will be responsible for interacting with a range of clients, using excellent communication skills along with your proven technical knowledge to provide a first‑class customer experience. You will also create high‑quality reports from your findings and discuss solutions with a variety of stakeholders, providing vital information that helps businesses to be more secure and resilient.
Responsibilities
- Carry out regular client meetings to drive Cyber Security goals and roadmap.
- Conduct workshops with clients.
- Operate with professionalism both internally and with clients.
- Manage priorities and tasks to achieve delivery utilisation targets.
- Continue to develop professional skills with relevant industry specific certifications.
- Collaborate with project managers, sales and other delivery team members to drive customer satisfaction and meet project deliverables
- Keep up to date with the latest security and technology developments
- Generate reports for both technical and non-technical staff and stakeholders
- Liaise with customers in relation to information security strategy and provide improvement plans/roadmaps
- Build effective working relationships and become a trusted advisor for clients
- Mentor junior team members
Essential Experience
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Ability to translate technical problems to business language for stakeholders
- Minimum of 2 years practical Information Security or IT Administrator experience
- Knowledge of both Offensive and Defensive Cyber Security Services.
- Experience with Certification frameworks (Cyber Essentials, ISO 27001)
- Demonstrable organisation skills, with a logical approach to problem solving
- Proven ability to prioritise work to meet deadlines, and cope with fluctuations in workloads
- Desire to help build and maintain the team through internal training, building reports and tooling or helping to plan and execute services
- Ability to occasionally travel to client site for meetings when required
- Valid Right to Work in the UK (We do not currently hold a visa sponsorship licence)
- Willingness to undergo a pre-employment DBS check and a Counter Terrorist Check if successful, due to the nature of our clients
Desirable Experience
- Hold industry recognised certifications such as CISSP, CISM etc.
- Experience with additional frameworks (SOC2, NIST, NCSC CAF etc)
- 2+ Years experience implementing cyber security/IT solutions
