Overview

This leading private healthcare business has a range of medical centres which treat both NHS and private patients as well as GP practices, out-of-hours services and NHS walk-in centres. The business prides itself on very high standards of care and commitment to its patients.

The Opportunity

The business is looking for a commercial lawyer to provide dedicated legal support to its core business areas. You will draft and negotiate a wide variety of commercial contracts, advise on company law matters as well as other areas such as competition, IP, tech and data privacy. You will also liaise with the regulatory legal team, ensuring strategy and risk are managed at all times. The business is private equity owned and you will liaise with the private equity company on a regular basis.

As part of a small but well-integrated legal team, you will have direct exposure to senior management from day one.

The role can be 5 days or 4 days a week and is fully remote, apart from occasional meetings.

The role is being offered as a 12 month contract.

About You

You will need a general commercial contracts background ideally gained in-house, although commercial experience in private practice will also be considered. The role is varied and the ability to turn your hand from a supply or partnership contract to a broad tech contract to advising on IP or a slightly regulatory matter is also key. The role will suit an individual comfortable with variety. Strong interpersonal skills, a commercial approach and can-do attitude are all key.
