We are now looking for an experienced Sales & Business Development Manager to drive growth across our Optical Sensors and Systems portfolio. This is an excellent opportunity to build strategic partnerships, influence market direction, and make a tangible impact in high-technology industries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead sales and business development activities for optical sensors and systems across Aerospace, Defense, and Commercial markets
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans to expand market share
  • Manage a full sales pipeline from initial engagement through to contract award
  • Collaborate with engineering and internal teams to deliver tailored customer solutions
  • Provide market intelligence and customer insights to support product strategy
  • Represent the business at key industry events and exhibitions
  • Deliver accurate sales forecasts and achieve ambitious revenue targets

About You

  • Proven experience (circa 10+ years) in technical sales, account management, or business development within Aerospace, Defense, or photonics markets
  • Strong understanding of optical components, particularly optical sensors and their applications
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Self-motivated and results-driven, with the ability to work independently
  • Degree qualified in Engineering or Physics (MSc desirable)

Additional Information

Regular travel across the UK and internationally will be required.
