Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Electrician role based in Ashford. The Electrician will install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment across residential and commercial properties, ensuring all work meets current regulations and safety standards. Day-to-day tasks include diagnosing faults, carrying out troubleshooting, performing routine maintenance,solar indtall EV chargers and completing new installations or upgrades. The role also involves reading and interpreting technical drawings, preparing materials, and documenting work completed. The Electrician will interact with customers and team members, provide clear updates on job status, and support safe working practices on all jobs.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of electricity principles and safe working practices with electrical systems.
- Hands-on experience in electrical work, including installation, wiring, and system upgrades.
- Skills in maintenance & repair and troubleshooting of electrical faults and equipment issues.
- Foundation in electrical engineering concepts relevant to practical on-site work.
- Relevant electrical qualifications or certifications (e.g., trade certification, apprenticeship completion, or equivalent experience).
- Familiarity with local electrical codes, regulations, and inspection requirements.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and work orders.
- Strong attention to detail, time management skills, and commitment to workplace safety.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to client sites in and around Ashford, as required.
