Circular Resourcing are recruiting for a Project Engineer to join the Development Arm of a business at the forefront of sustainable projects and the energy transition.

The company have successfully developed energy projects across numerous technologies/facilities over recent years, including various utility scale Solar Projects, anaerobic digestion plants, waste to energy and biomass CHP.

You will provide important Engineering expertise and knowledge and over-time be given training in the commercial side of project development/management as you will be working closely with the development director and team.

Purpose:

You’ll play an important role crucial role in supporting the business by managing enhancement and development projects, as well as supporting Managers in finding engineering solutions to operational problems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Technical Development Director (TDD) in conceiving, developing and engineering inputs into the businesses varied portfolio across BioGas, Waste, Anaerobic Digestion, Solar, Energy Recovery.
  • Effectively manage project lifecycle from concept through to operational.
  • Support with the technical and consenting aspects of project development

About You:

  • The role requires a technical Engineering Degree and background, although the client are open on discipline – Mechanical, Process or Electrical all interesting for this role.
  • Previous Project Engineering and Project Management experience within energy/engineering projects.
  • Track record of working on projects from initial concept through to operational.
  • Commercially aware with desire/motivation to upskill in this area over time.
  • Knowledgeable in UK environmental and permitting frameworks.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills to work with diverse stakeholders.
  • Passionate about renewable energy, waste, and continuous improvement.
  • Full UK driving license and internationally mobile for potential site visits (when required)
