Yard Hand Operative with Counterbalance Forklift Licence Required

We are looking for a Yard Hand Operative for a full-time permanent role based in Newton Abbot. This is a physically demanding role working in an outdoor yard environment and would suit someone who enjoys hands-on work and being part of a busy team.The role involves general yard duties, loading and unloading goods, manual handling, and operating a counterbalance forklift for part of the day.Immediate start available.LocationNewton Abbot, DevonSalary£29,009.70 per annumKey Responsibilities• Carry out general yard duties including organising materials and maintaining a clean and safe working environment• Load and unload goods safely and efficiently• Complete manual handling and heavy lifting on a daily basis• Operate a counterbalance forklift for around two hours per day• Support the wider team with day-to-day operational tasks• Keep the yard clean, organised, and safe at all timesQualificationsEssential• Valid and in-date Counterbalance Forklift Licence• Physically fit and capable of heavy lifting• Strong work ethic and proactive attitude• Ability to work independently and as part of a team• Ready to start immediatelyDesirable• Previous experience in a yard, warehouse, or industrial environment• Experience using a counterbalance forklift in a busy workplaceBenefits• Monday to Friday working pattern• Working hours of 8:00am to 5:00pm• 42.5 hours per week• Immediate start available• 22 days’ holiday plus Bank Holidays• Holiday entitlement rises to 25 days with service• Bupa healthcare cover including prescriptions and optical care• Two company social events per year• Full uniform provided• Long-term permanent opportunityHow to Apply…
