Description:
A Personal Assistant is required for the employer , who is a 71-year-old woman with a visual impairment. To assist with her social care requirements. They are looking for someone who is reliable, flexible and trustworthy.
Tasks will include:
(this will be based on what help social work have assessed as being required)
– Assisting with social events and appointments
– Assisting Supported person to meet up with friends
– Assisting with attending groups and classes
– Assisting to go shopping
– Assisting with Coffee shops and Garden centres etc
– Assisting to undertake exercise or go for a walk
– Helping Supported person to organise her home- to make things more accessible (to allow SP to continue with hobbies in the home) (not cleaning but organisational for social care)
– Assisting with Baking (reading recipes, identify the tools/ utensils, Chopping)
– Assisting with dealing with Mail and Correspondence (I.e. Writing birthday cards etc)
– Any other duties commensurate with the role of Care Worker / Personal Assistant
